Plans, trial and billing
Every workspace starts on a 14-day free trial with no card. This page covers what happens when it ends, what you pay after that, what counts as an event, and where to add a card, change plan, cancel or find an invoice.
Your 14-day free trial
When you create a workspace we start a 14-day trial on Statlark Starter · 10k events. We don’t ask for a card, and there is nothing to cancel if you decide Statlark isn’t for you — the trial simply runs out. The clock starts at signup, not at your first pageview, so install the tracker early.
Around day 7 Stripe emails you a reminder that the trial is ending.
What happens on day 14 depends on one thing:
- You added a card. The trial rolls straight into the plan you’re on and the first invoice is charged.
- You didn’t. Stripe cancels the subscription rather than charging or invoicing you. No card on file means no bill, ever.
A cancelled trial doesn’t delete anything. Your workspace, your sites and your history stay where they are, and Settings → Billing shows a plan picker with Continue with Stripeso you can start a paid plan whenever you’re ready.
The plans
Two families, each at two event rungs, billed monthly or yearly. The reports and the API are the same on every one of them — the differences are the ones in this table. There’s a side-by-side version on the pricing page.
| Plan | Events a month | Sites | History kept | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Statlark Starter · 10k events | 10,000 | 1 site | 3 years | $9 | $90 |
| Statlark Starter · 100k events | 100,000 | 1 site | 3 years | $19 | $190 |
| Statlark Growth · 10k events | 10,000 | up to 30 sites | 5 years | $19 | $190 |
| Statlark Growth · 100k events | 100,000 | up to 30 sites | 5 years | $39 | $390 |
Yearly is twelve months for the price of ten — two months free — and you can switch between monthly and yearly at any time. History kept is how long we hold your visitor, event and revenue history: 3 years on Starter, 5 on Growth. You can export all of it at any point — see Your account and your data.
What counts as an event
A pageview, a goal and an identify each count as one event. Payments never count. Hits your exclusion rules remove never count. Bot and crawler hits are stored but never count.
So the number that matters is the one you can actually see in your reports. A visitor who lands on three pages and fires one goal is four events. A Stripe payment attributed to that visitor is worth real money to you and nothing to your event total — we don’t charge you for your own revenue. Anything your exclusion rulesdrop is gone before it’s counted, and crawler hits are stored but never billed.
Cards, plan changes, cancelling and invoices
All of it happens in the Stripe customer portal, which you reach from Settings → Billing. During the trial that’s Add a payment method; after that, Manage billing. If a renewal fails, the same panel offers Update payment method. Card details are typed into Stripe and never reach us.
- Change plan. Family, rung and interval are all switchable in the portal. An upgrade is prorated and invoiced immediately; a change made during the trial keeps the trial running to its normal end date.
- Cancel.Cancel any time. Access continues to the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and we don’t issue prorated refunds for a partial period.
- Failed renewals. Stripe retries a declined payment and emails you about it. If none of the retries succeed, the subscription is cancelled.
- Invoices and receipts.Every invoice is listed in the portal and downloadable as a PDF, with your billing address and any tax ID you’ve entered shown on it.
Closing your account also cancels your subscription, so there’s no separate step for that.
Going over, and moving down a plan
Here is the policy. Usage metering is still being built, so nothing below is enforced today: no warning is sent yet and nothing is blocked. The policy is what we commit to when it ships.
- Over your rung. We keep collecting. We warn you at 80% and again at 100% of the rung and prompt you to move up to the next one.
- Moving down below your site count. The sites you already have keep collecting; what you lose is the ability to add another until you’re back under the new plan’s allowance.
Losing data is never the answer to going over a rung, so pausing your tracking is not something we do by default.
Taxes
The prices above are the prices we charge; they exclude any applicable taxes, and Statlark doesn’t calculate or add tax to them. Stripe Checkout asks for a billing address and, if you have one, a tax ID, so that the invoice is usable for your own accounting — both are editable later in the portal.
